The Famous Fjord - New Zealand
New Zealand's most famous destination (and unquestionably the most photographed in the whole country) was originally named Milford Haven after it's founder's home town in Wales. It later became Milford Sound, but despite the name it's actually a 9-mile Fjord, running inland from the Tasman Sea. It was only reachable by foot until the Homer Tunnel's creation in the 1940s.
