Suomenlinna - Finland
The UNESCO listed island of Suomenlinna is a sea fortress off the coast of Helsinki. It belonged to the Swedish crown after its construction in 1748 as a protection against Russian invasion - however the Russians took the island in 1809 and developed it futher with installations such as this naval gun. Today it's one of Finland's top attractions, drawing over 700,000 visitors a year.
